About The Brand
Serum Institute of India is the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer, producing over 1.5 billion doses annually that reach more than 170 countries. The company has expanded to develop a wide range of vaccines, including Polio, DTP, MMR, and Cervavac, among others. It’s estimated that about 65% of children worldwide would’ve received a vaccine made by SII at least once.
As part of this journey, we collaborated with Serum Institute of India on two significant projects that supported their vision.
Cervavac
About
Cervavac® is India’s first indigenously developed quadrivalent HPV vaccine, created and manufactured by Serum Institute of India. It’s a gender-neutral vaccine that offers protection against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 6, 11, 16, and 18. The HPV is known to be among the leading causes of cervical and other cancers. The development of Cervavac® marks a significant step in advancing accessible and affordable preventive healthcare in India.
The Problem
When Cervavac® was first introduced, one of the biggest challenges was awareness. Many people were not familiar with HPV as a disease, its risks, or its link to cervical and other cancers. As a result, even though Serum Institute had developed a breakthrough vaccine, there was limited understanding among the public about its purpose and importance.
The Solution
To bridge the awareness gap, we developed a dedicated website for Cervavac®. We wanted to ensure that anyone seeking information about the vaccine could find it in one place, without the need to look elsewhere.
The website was designed to clearly explain what HPV is, its symptoms, and why vaccination is important. We also created a separate section that provided detailed information about Cervavac® itself. It included the dosing schedule and eligibility criteria. To make it even more useful, we added a FAQ section that answered the most common queries people had, which we identified through market research and real audience insights.
The Impact
The Cervavac® website became a key tool in spreading awareness about India’s first indigenous HPV vaccine. With the help of the website, we were able to reach people not only across India but also around the world.
IPledgeToPrevent
About
The IPledgeToPrevent website was created as an initiative to spark conversations around HPV and the importance of vaccination. This campaign was an invitation to the people to take a pledge and commit to spreading awareness about the disease and the vaccine. It aimed to build a community that was open to conversation.
What We Did?
To bring this initiative to life, we developed** a dedicated website designed as a central space for awareness and participation. At the heart of the platform was a video featuring Janhvi Kapoor, whose presence added both relatability and trust. We worked on the video end-to-end, which included scripting and production, to ensure the message was delivered clearly and with impact.
The website served as a space where people could watch the video, understand the importance of HPV vaccination, and actively participate by taking the pledge. The users could take the pledge directly on the platform, and once the form was completed and submitted, they could download their personalised pledge.
Why Was It Required?
Awareness around HPV faced two major hurdles: discomfort in discussing cancer and the fact that vaccination was rarely part of everyday conversations. People often avoided the subject out of fear or hesitation, leaving an important health issue unspoken.
By introducing the pledge, we created a safe entry point into this conversation. Taking the pledge gave individuals a sense of ownership, making them feel part of a larger cause. It helped transform awareness into action, building a community committed to prevention and open dialogue about HPV.
SII CARES
About
SII CARES (Curiosity, Ambition, Recognition, Empowerment, Support) is an HR initiative by Serum Institute of India (SII). It encapsulates the simple belief that the people who have stood by the organization over the years are its greatest strength.
What We Did?
As part of the SII CARES initiative, we created a coffee table book that captured the essence of life at Serum Institute of India. It captures how SII has consistently embraced its core value of putting people first. The process involved on-site interviews with multiple stakeholders, including Executive Directors and Department Heads, and photoshoots of employees and the organization.
Apart from the physical copy presented to stakeholders and employees, we also created a digital version of the book and video testimonials. The book also highlights the HR initiatives that enrich the lives of those at Serum Institute of India.
Why We Did It?
Serum Institute of India has always been committed to a people-first philosophy, not only in its global efforts but also in how it treats its employees. The CARES initiative, reflected in the coffee table book, was a way to showcase this commitment. It provided a platform to celebrate the individuals who have contributed to SII’s success while reinforcing the organization’s culture of respect, care, and people-centric values.
