About The Brand
Dvara Research is an independent and non-profit policy research institution. They’re research partners with key policy-making bodies such as the Reserve Bank of India, Securities and Exchange Board of India, Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority, etc. Through their research, they want to ensure that every low-income household and enterprise has access to financial inclusion and social security via a range of channels.
The Problem
When we began working with Dvara Research, it was observed that their digital presence didn’t reflect the depth of their mission and research. Their website and the social media channels struggled to deliver the impact that their work commanded. On performing a complete website audit, we recognized the following challenges:
- Navigation issues: The website structure was not intuitive, making it difficult for users to find information quickly.
- SEO concerns: Though the website had valuable content, since the site wasn’t optimized, the traffic and engagement with the website were low.
- Content gaps: The existing content wasn’t aligned with how their target audience would search for or engage with information.
- Social media stagnation: Their social media presence was not actively maintained, leading to minimal engagement and reduced reach.
The Solution
To tackle these challenges, it was essential for us to do more than just quick surface-level fixes. That’s why we initiated a full-scale website revamp to improve their online presence. We mainly focused on the following categories:
- Strategic website redesign: We restructured the UI/UX to remove navigation bottlenecks and implemented a cleaner, research-focused design that improved accessibility across all devices.
- Researcher in Focus: We introduced a dedicated section to spotlight the researchers behind the analysis. As the researchers are often overlooked, this feature provided an opportunity to highlight their contributions and expertise that drive Dvara’s work.
- Content realignment: The website’s content was thoroughly audited and rewritten to be more precise, reader-friendly, and discoverable. We ensured that it conveyed complex research in an engaging and authoritative manner.
- Strengthen Digital Presence: Apart from the website, we also provided direction on enhancing their social media presence to ensure consistency and improved audience engagement across platforms.
- Library tool: Taking one step further, we built a library tool where users could sign up and access Dvara Research’s complete reports in one place. This made research papers more accessible and easier to navigate, allowing users to engage with the organisation’s work in depth.
The Impact
Post revamp, the website became noticeably more responsive on mobile devices, offering a smoother browsing experience for users across screens. The navigation of the website was simplified, which made it easier for visitors to find reports, initiatives, and resources without effort. Overall, after our efforts, the platform shifted to being more user-friendly, ensuring that Dvara Research’s work could be accessed and understood with greater ease.
Additional Efforts
Microsite - Customer Protection Program
Dvara Research produces detailed reports that are invaluable to policymakers and practitioners, but the complexity of these documents often limits how quickly audiences can engage with them. To address this, we created a dedicated microsite, a digital extension of their reports.
This microsite was carefully interlinked with the main website, allowing visitors to move seamlessly between the two. It presented the research in a more structured, interactive, and visually accessible way, making it easier for readers to navigate through dense information and grasp key insights.
Trust Video
In addition to the website revamp, we wanted to find new ways to bring Dvara Research’s insights closer to their audience. That’s where the idea of creating a Trust Video came in. While the revamped site improved access to their research, the video helped translate one of their most important studies into a format that was both engaging and easy to understand.
The Trust Video explored how borrowers in India build trust in digital lenders, a critical question as the digital credit ecosystem continues to grow. The video showed how trust is shaped at different stages of the borrowing journey i.e. while choosing a lender, during the loan cycle, and even after repayment.
